Spoken by the Son

Good news

Strong and Courageous

 Hebrews 1:1-4 states "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,  but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,  having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs."

Oh, how the Son has truly spoken to generation after generation. Joe Boot in his work titled Searching for Truth says, “At last the Liberator, the offspring of the Virgin Mary has arrived after centuries of waiting. The Bible tells us that here at the cross; Jesus is putting the devil to shame, defeating him forever and releasing prisoners.

evil eye

This is an amazing historic drama of salvation and liberation, the very outworking of the promise that had been made thousands of years earlier, back in the Garden of Eden and the fall of humanity.” This passion play is the very pinnacle of all of human history.  We see the ultimate cosmic battle between good and evil unfolding. At the cross, the enemy thought that he had achieved the final victory, but he was sadly mistaken. His quest for power and dominion was totally and completely crushed. This is the good news that gives the Christian mind a deep sense of peace and security. Not only that, but we are also described as more than conquerors. How awesome is that? We have the opportunity to be a part of this Kingdom Of God that Jesus has inaugurated.

 free from chains

 Romans Chapter 8 reveals this marvelous place in which we find ourselves today. Here are verses 31-39 “ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.  Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?  As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
    we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
