Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 esv

There is something about the Peace of God that is so inviting and contagious.  The scriptures say for us to taste and see that the Lord is good.

This type of peace is the exclusive domain for those who love Jesus and are called according to his purposes. This is profound and deeply seated within the confines of the Christian mind. The essence of this peace is a large part of purpose and meaning in life.

While the Atheistic Naturalist may claim to have plenty of meaning and purpose in life, it is limited to an intellectual perspective alone, outside of relationship with God almighty. The security we find in the redemption of Jesus is unmatched by anything that the world may attempt to offer.

Recently, I have been soaking and meditating on this beautiful majestic peace through a song titled “Peace” by Sara Golden. While I love being in church and believe strongly that we should not forsake it, I also love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature. I am an avid fly-fisherman, so the lyrics in this song reflect my love of God when I am out on the water.

 Peace: by Sara Golden

Lyrics: I found peace in the river

I found peace by quiet streams

I found peace on the mountain

I found peace in fields of green

I found peace in the desert

I found peace in raging waves

I found peace in the valley

I found peace in what You said

I can finally breathe again, I can finally breathe again

I found peace in the chaos

I found peace in suffering

I found peace in confusion

I found peace inside of me

I can finally breathe again, I can finally breathe again

I found You in the river, I found You in suffering, I found You on the mountain, You were always around me
